In one of our previous blogs from November 2024, we proudly shared our partnership with the Tla’Amin (ɬaʔamɩn) Nation and our commitment to providing Complex Care Homes for their community. At Arcwell Developments, we believe in transparency and accountability, which is why we promised to keep you updated on the progress of this important project.
Today, we are excited to share how we successfully delivered four homes to the beautiful Tla’amin Nation earlier this month—overcoming no shortage of adversity along the way.

From the very beginning of this project, we understood the critical importance of adhering to the timelines set to ensure that funding remained secure. Our team’s proactive approach and resourceful problem-solving skills were put to the test as we encountered various logistical obstacles. Through close collaboration with our project partners (manufacturing, delivery crews, and on-site crews) and careful strategic planning, we navigated through the hurdles, ensuring the project stayed on track and aligned with our commitment to timely delivery.

A Successful Delivery, A Thriving Community
These homes embarked on an complex journey from Kelowna to Powell River, traversing a distance of approximately 560 kilometers. The voyage began by truck, winding through British Columbia’s scenic landscapes, before transitioning to barge for the final leg across the Salish Sea. Their destination: the picturesque oceanfront community of Tla’amin Nation.
This project helped reinforce one of Arcwell’s core values, we don’t back down from adversity—we rise above it. Our mission goes beyond simply building homes; we build trust, resilience, and lasting partnerships. The challenges we faced during this project only reinforced our commitment to going the extra mile for our clients.
The Final Touches
Upon arrival, these structures have been transformed into safe, comfortable, homes, specifically designed to meet the needs of residents requiring Complex Care. This development aligns with Tla’amin Nation’s ongoing efforts to provide dignified and affordable housing for its community members, including elders and those with unique needs.
